Hey,

I have a V4 PS2 and I am using the Knife Trick to play backups. I find that when I play NTSC backups games they are in black and white! I am using a component cable Audio L Audio R and Video plugged into a Scart Socket then into my TV to use the PS2.

Is there any way I can play the backups in colour, I have looked into patching but I have around 20 printed NTSC copies and would like to avoid having to copy and patch them all again. I heard that it is because my TV doesn't support 60hz TV mode? But when I had a DC and selected 60hz mode everything worked fine.

What am I doing wrong?? Please help.

Lee.

if you have a fairly new or good quality tv ntsc games should play in b&w without rolling. is that the case?
Well if it is you can get your ps2 "fixed" . its just like the ps1 colour fix, just a simple wire crossover mod. no chip just a solder.
i don't know the specifics but my mod dude did it for $20 aus, for labour only.
my tv is fairly new but it doesn't support ntsc either. the games used to play in b&w but now in colour.
check it out.
either that or look for kalisto release games

Ya, you do realize that NTSC and PAL are different types of video output. You wont get NTSC images to display properly on a PAL TV (unless its a multi-system tv). Use a real RGB Scart Lead, and that will fix it, or you can buy a multi-systemm TV.
