Is normal the huge slowdown when raiden and snake fight against a lot of soldiers (at that screen when appears to be game over but isnt). And Metal gear 2 has a little slowdown in some other times also?

Never had that problem, is your PS2 in a place where it can get air. If it gets hot, that might happen, let the Ps2 rest for a while and try it.

try this to slow it down go to the tanker mission towards the end they be a bit when the kermal is giving the speech and you have to take the photographs well with the m9 try and put loads of the soldiers to sleep beleieve itll slow done
