when u take of the ps2 shell theres a thin silver cable its come out of the ps2 and i dont know where it goes im really stuck please help thanks....

Maybe the one that's connected to your reset eject buttons.

Which side of the ps2 did you open? The top or the bottom?

Oh,it is going to be a b1tch putting that cable back in..the thin silver cable goes under ur expansion bay slot where the other one is..all of them connect from that point to the power/reset buttons..anyways good luck because u will surely need it

It sounds like the power/reset cable, it will probably end up a lot quicker to fully disassemble the ps2 to re-insert it so you can get to the clip easily.

Yes it is the power reset cable if you are careful and slow then you can replace put it back in. Use twisers or needle nose plyers that should make it eaiser.
