I would recommend the X-box without a doubt!!!
I have both an X-box + P2s and I would go for X-box!
Or if you want to save on ca$h buy a ps2 and get it chipped!
But X-box graphics are simplt the best!
When the online gamming gets going it will be great so I would vote X-box!

PS2 has more game selection than XBOX. I would only get one for Halo and Munches ( why the didn't make these for the PC or PS2 I'll never know ! ) oh well life goes on !

If you want to appreciate good games, and you enjoyed playing on the N64, then I say GameCube. I've got the PSX and DC with hundreds of backups, and only ever played a select few.

i have all three, ps2, cube and xbox. to tell the truth i dont like the xbox its nothing better over ps2 or cube its just better graphics plus theres not the games out to show off the system at the moment.

i recommend ps2 as it has a lots of different types of games.

but really its up to you. its best to go and see what types of games are out for each system and make a decision on what type of games you like and which system there on

I would definitely go for the xbox - got all three and its the one that keeps me coming back for more - Microsoft are also the ones with (in my opinion) the brightest future - they have a ton of great games coming out by the end of the year coupled with their online strategy which I think is a cut above Ninty and Sonys plans. The thing to remember about the PS2 is that it is a 2 year old console, whereas it has basically produced a lot of its good games the xbox is just getting warmed up and will have some amazing games in the future - I'm not saying that because I dislike the PS2 but the fact remains it is now (by industry standards) an old console.

If you like all types of games , get the PS2, and you can get a modchip for 5$. x-box doesn't have any RPG's, and only 1 fighting game from what I know, 1 wrestling game and its crap. Look at this site www.gamespot.com
