I'm trying to install a PCMCIA cd-rom drive on a portable p.c. i have..
One problem is that it asks for these files and I have no way of puuting them on the p.c. apart from floppy drive.
I've searched on the net for somewhere I can download them, but to no avail...
Files....
PCCARD.VXD, CSMAPPER.SYS, CARDDRV.EXE, CBSS.VXD, FLS1MTD.VXD, FLS2MTD.VXD, SRAMMTD.VXD
If ANYONE can help me out obtaining these or if you can send them to me via e-mail then PLEASE do!! Having a nightmare!!
Thanks guys. :)

The cd-rom is made by EXP Computer Inc, its the DVD Traveler. I've got the install disc and all the relevant files for the actual drive but Windows98 asks for these files.. as I'm trying to install the drive I can't put the Windows CD-Rom in to be read.. if that makes sense.. I can't find these files on the actual Windows disc in my normal p.c.
If I could download these files and put them on floppy and install from there I'd be winning!!
Cheers for the reply mate.. :)

This page (http://www.topqualityfreeware.com/vxdindex.shtml) has ALL the VXD files you can think of. Let me see if I can get other EXE & SYS files for you. In the mean time, download the VXD's first. :)

I believe CSMAPPER.SYS & CARDDRV.EXE are in the folder \Windows\System.

If you're running 98 or 98SE, carddrv.exe & csmapper.sys are in the file base5.cab on the Windows CD. You'll need to extract them from the cab.
Darn! It took me quite a while to find my old Win98 CD to look thru the cab files.

It's not in theory, m8. They should be there. Don't know what happened to your Windows installation. :D
