i'm sure other peeps have this problem especially when watching a film. i have to turn up the volume to hear it it over the fan noise.
I know it's only doing it's job to keep the cpu cool but is there any other fans that aren't as noisy.
Something like airwolf's whisper mode!!!
If so can anyone give me a link to buy one.

A lot of people like the Zalman Flower, near silent so they say.
Take a look at:- http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Other_CPU_and_System_Coolers_18.h tml#aHS_2D000_2DZA

You could look into getting a Thermalright AX7 heatsink and a 80mm Vantec stealth fan (21db)

I have the Zalman heatsink and the little instruction booklet with it specs it for Athlon XP (2000+) so it should be ok.
Jamal is right overclockers.co.uk have them and they are a little cheaper than quietpc.com but if you look at aria.co.uk I think they have them even cheaper.
One thing to think about is that they are very heavy and don't mount through the motherboard so if you move your pc about a lot (take it round mates etc) then you're probably better off getting something else.
