Yep, you can pretty much convert dollars to pounds 1 to 1 with most things here in the UK.

Always has been and always will be,(SPIT). Ive bought stuff from US for $225 that was £750 in UK, I was well over the moon to pay $100 p+p. I also like the way it makes up the law as it goes along to suit itself,(SPIT). Then there is HM customs,(SPIT). Who intercepted 2 identical parcels of mine from same person , ( cigs, value £7), they wanted £43 duty for 1st, £26 for 2nd, hows that for 300 & 600% of the value, they are nothing but greedy robbing *******s. I wrote to them thanking them for rectifying their mistake, but by the time it was sorted the PO sent them back to Malaysia, now what will you do.
I like how they are making companies print "DUTY NOT PAID" along an exported cigarette, LOL LOL LOL,what kind of miserable shits are they, when i get my cigs i want "DUTY NOT PAID" crossing off every cigarette. way off topic but this kind of thing always sends the needle of my shitometer into the red

Seeing as we give 10billion to EEC and spend 20 billion on refugees, what do you expect, the money has to come from somewhere

thats bu11shi7 we got some of the lowest hi-tek electronics hardware prices around especially when it comes to mobile phones.
DO you realise in america they still only give the equivalent of 5110s for free with contracts?
You can get a brand new sony phone in this country for £0(yes zero pounds) just need a debit card

Mobiles are not representative of general electronics as the prices charged are due to subsidies / commisions offered by the telco companies.

If you were to buy a mobile off contract you would find it more expensive in the UK than in the US or Asia.

Contracts for mobiles suck in the USA and coverage is beyond a joke. We pay $35/month and probably 75% of the time we get no signal. Yu then have roaming charges for going in different states (which sucks for us as we border 3 states).

I lived in England 3 years ago and the quality of service and coverage was far better then that it is here now... SMS is just starting to take off here... How long you guys been messaging each other.

prices in asia are more for mobiles cos their contracts are often subject to a 2year contract!
carphone warehouse is cheaper for offline phones than most places in hong kong and alot cheaper than the phillipines or malaysia.
I don't know about the us but in canader they also get charged for incoming calls and have to pay a further premium for the *privalege* of texting:D

john80y:we have had sms since 1994 and at that time orange werre doing them completely free of charge!
