Not much difference really.Maybe a few seconds burn time.Id say either one.They both good.

if i was you i would get the 40x writer.

my m8 has a plextor 40x12Ax40 and i have a lite-on 32x12x40
there is only about 30 seconds diffrence in burn speed
if you go for the 40x get a lite-on not the plextor
much better drive IMO

the Plex is a QUALITY drive though ..but a bit deer :-(

Through Work ive just been quoted the 32x Liteon Writer for £37.29p i reckon ill upgrade to this one.

My cdrom reader cost more then that a couple of years ago its crazy!!

You're right it is getting crazy! But the end user is the one that benefits. :D

The new LiteOn 52X drive goes on sale in September and they are expecting the retail price to start at around the £75 mark!!!

I remember paying £200 for an 8X drive less than a couple of years ago! :laugh:
