i have a liteon cdr and a sony 52x cdrom but i also have a 80gb seagate bareracuda can anyone tell me the best way to group them as i only have 2 ide channels so it wont take ages to burn a cd. :confused: also i have nero 5 is there anything i can do to make this faster like turn on copy on the fly. cheers

Well IMO the best situation here would be this.

Primary Master:- HDD

Primary Slave:- CD-Rom Drive

Secondary Master:- CDRW Drive

Of course you will need to make sure all the jumper settings are correct on all drives before booting up your PC again.

If you do a lot of OTF burning then an even better solution to this IMHO is go out and buy a PCI IDE controller card. This will then double your IDE channels to four and allow you to then connect upto "eight" devices on your IDE channels. They are about £30 on average in the UK and take two minutes to fit. ;)
