The wierdest thing is happening i have 384 sdram when i got to control pannel and select display than advanced properties and select my graphic card tab, it says i have 384 sdram dut it is only using 150 to 250 where is the rest going i dont even load up no programs so i dont think nothing is draining it. is there a way to make more ram avalibale.

oh forgot to mention im running in ME and AMD ATHLON 1GIG.

Do you have an onboard video card?
Perhaps your onboard video is using your ram as memory.

gambit_360 m8 i do not have a onboard video card only sound my motherboard is a MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD MS-6340(VT8363).

A lot of it goes into just running windows mate.

you can expect 50 - 100 megs of ram to dissapear before you start doing anything.
