Hi everyone,

I want to play an MPEG in a director movie. The problem is that when I click on the button from a previous movie which then acitvates the movie that has the MPEG embedded in it, all I get is a red box with a cross in it that is in place of where the video should be. Sometimes I don't get the red box/cross but get the sound of the video only (no picture). Do I need to install a "QuickTimeInstaller" and/or "QuickTimeInstallCache" so that if the computer doesn't have the neccessary plugins it can use the quicktime player? If so, how does it use these files so that the user doesn't have to worry about going through the install proceedure for the quicktime player?

Please help if you have any ideas...the boss is starting to breathe down the old neck now....gulp!

Cheers

Paul
