not exactly life threatening this one but annoying none the less. When I boot my computer up and get to the login screen the printer powers up an feeds a sheet of paper into the rollers. After about 10 minutes the sheet will just feed out of the printer blank and its getting quite annoying.

Its a HP deskjet 840c printer and im running XP pro and recent drivers

anyone any ideas on how to stop this?

I knew before I got to the end of your post it was an HP. Mine does it too sometimes, don't know why but it doesn't bother me. Hope you get a cure.
