ive an oldish p2 with 128mb and a 8G hard drive, can i install a 20G hardrive on the same system and run a seperate os on each?

what would i need?

YES M8,IF UR RUNNING WINDOWS 98,YOU CAN SET UP A DUAL BOOT SYSTEM USING XP,INSERT XP INTO CD ROM AND CHOOSE NEW INSTALLATION,WHEN IT GOES T O INSTALL PICK THE NEW HARD DRIVE AS THE INSTALLATION DRIVE AND XP WILL SETUP THE DUAL BOOT FOR YOU

Depending on the age of our system your motherboard may not be able to recognise the full 20gigs. If you have this problem download a BIOS update from your motherboard manufacturers website and flash it. There should be more information on flashing BIOS on the site.

You could also partition the 20 gig drive into smaller sizes... The motherboard would then recognise the small partitions
