Hey guys, I know that you want people to come and contribute but pretty much everything I learned about CDRWs I learned here, so I will always be the apprentice I'm afraid.

Anyways, I got the new Lite-On today and I started off and burned a disc. When I started up Nero the first time, it had the 48x burn speed option. I didn't expect to achieve that with my Fuji 32x media but luckily it burned at 40x anyway. The next time I tried to burn a disc, the burn speed options only went up to 40x. What I would like to know is how do I get the 48x option back, so I can burn at that speed when I get some better media. Any help would be much a ppreciated!

P3 600 mhz, 128 ram, DMA on, AIN on

Yeah, yeah, new system is next on my list hehe

Smart Burn detects the max speed that you can burn the CDR at. Once you get better media you will have the option to burn at 48x.

If you have not already, then go to the lite-on site and download the smart burn media check program and it will tell you what it rates the media at.
