If it was sent to your hotmail then no as all mail are scanned by them. If it is then we will have to start worrying as Hotmail scans all emails :(

but u see these ppl are not the ones actually sending the mail, or maybe they are but they dont know, i wont easily believe that they are sending these on purpose as i dont even know em, so how could i of had a row with the guys. I mean Dvdzuk is popular around here, why the hell would he want to send viruses to ppl?

people don't neccesarily send a virus to someone, if they are infected themselves then often the virus will send emails to people itself. just delete the mails, that girlfriend one sounds very suss.

the best thing to do is mail the people back.tell them you didnt open it as you dont know em.
ask them to check to see if they're comp is infected.

if you get a nasty reply back you know somethings up.
and always scan your mail.especially if you dont know who its from.

hope you get on alright

Hi M8,

I get allkinds of Sh8te on my works e-mail addy and that girlfriends one of them I always delete it, I think its something to do with the klez virus. I dont think whoever you've got it off knows they've sent it - might be wrong though.

It never fails

just when you think that you`ve had ur turn of viruses , another fuker jumps in ur comp and plays havoc.

do`s the anti virus programs really work , or are they just reallly hyped up from the magazines.

I got alot of those worm viruses, they just come as blank emails... but i dont really care about them as i dont put anybody in my address book so it cant really do anything. I think these days the virus is getting more common as its circulating around the same ppl, so i would recommnet to all ppl to delete all their addresses in outlook then the worm will just stop or become very uncommon. Kepp ur mail addys in text file or something.

The klez virus does send itself out randomly without the senders knowlege...it's still doing the rounds and if this is a variant of that virus, make sure you delete it without opening it.

If you try to send it back to get someone back, the damn thing will only keep coming back to you as you will be in the address book of the person you sent it to...Just delete any suspect mail as there are loads around at the moment.

If you help it spread, you will only see it again at some point!

It is a virus m8
Had one exactly the same in work with a different bint picture.
Trouble is this tommy is probably innocent as the people we received our virus off are an architects office they then sent another mail warning people of the virus in their system.

Iam not at all at risk, i knew this was a virus just when i recieved it even though i havent seen it before, its the size its always 126-127kb or around about there. and the subject is something funny that hasnt the slightest to do with anything ur expecting, for example the one that supposidly came from "dvdzuk" the subject was " Language" now what the hell is that supposed to mean? so u know its a virus cos of this and the size.

I recieved a v.wierd 'virus' in my Hotmail inbox. It musta been from someone either on this board or (the board where all the old mods went), as I only used my hotmail addy for trading...

Anyways, this 'virus' was a script sent in an email with no from address and no subject. It came in at 0k so I thought it was safe on to delete it (I use OE5 for all my mail BTW with Norton pre-scanning ALL my mail), so I did the usual, didn't open it just highlighted and hit delete... BIG mistake!

This 'undetecable' script/virus-whatever, deleted the main *.dbx/*.ods file for OE, meaning OE would crash on opening and cause all sorts of invlaid page faults etc etc... and the only solution was to manually delete the registry entry: "convert to dbx" so when I reboot OE it would create a new one, meaning I lost my entire mailbox!!!!!!!!

So be on the lookout folks...

I went away for 2 weeks and came back to the same 3 as you bluemoonbaz. 1 was from someone on another forum who i have dealt with in the past so he probably does'nt know he is sending it. Trouble is that it was attatched to a list and i opened it.
