which burner would you choose?

qps/24x/plexter (big and needs power supply at all times) but fast, burn proof and 2 minutes for cds

smart disk/8x/no power supply needed and gets power from firewire buss, light small as a cd and BURN PROOF?

I am cheap. I choose by bus and speed and $$$, which is why I have internal Teac CD-R 8X (upgraded after I burned out my 4X).
So, personally I'd go for the 8X as for it's portability.

i saw alot of very cheap cd-rw on dealmac.com check them out

well i thouth i mentioned it but i forgot too

this are the 2 choices i have, so wich of thes would anyone here choose?

If it were me I would go for the QPS its faster probaby cheaper

But I think the real issue is size or speed.

If you want a small footprint and dont mind a slower drive get the bus powered one

If you want speed and dont care that it is bigger size get a powerstrip and use that puppy

If you have a laptop the firewwire bus powered drive will run your batteries down very quiclkly if you dont plug it in
