Just got this from OC-Freak who posted it over at the Freaks site.

==============================================

SMART-BURN media checker version 2.0:

This version supports all 32X to 48X drives from Lite-On. This program will tell you the manufacturer of the CD-R disc and the max write speed supported by the SMART-BURN technology of the drive.

Get the programme HERE (http://www.liteonit.com.tw/zip/SMARTBURN.zip) and there is also a pdf readme file HERE (http://www.liteonit.com.tw/zip/smartburneng.pdf) , notice that you need Adobe Acrobat reader to open the readme file.

Very good indeed. Bearing in mind that you can now get one in the UK for around the £55 mark and the Plextor is twice the price, I've burned around 5,000 discs with mine and it's still as good as the day I bought it. It is also a very good CD-Reader as well, most people seem to forget that. ;)

That's only about 1200 a month, and most are data. All legit too, honest. ;)
