I just put in my cyberdrive cd writer. I have it set as master and my cdrom as slave. When i first tried to start windows the light on the burner would constantly blink and it would not eject and then crash. I had to start windows with a cd in the cdrom drive to stop this. Now my computer isnt recognizing either drive. Device manager shows an exclamation mark for secondary IDE controller (dual info). Any suggestions?

I am assuming you have them on secondary IDE controller...

I am away from home, and don't have much time, but try this.

Go to Start then Run and type regedit

Then search the registry for noide If you find it, delete it and reboot.

Also, it could be motherboard drivers, controller drivers, or other things.

Try the noide trick. It has worked for me several times in the past.

Good Luck!

Search and found nothing for noide, is there a site i can go to that will analyze my computer and tell me if there are newer drivers?
