(http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/support/driverdetail.html?sess=no&cat=%2fOperating+System%2fMicrosoft+Windows+98&filekey=aspi_v471.exe) :) :round::hdspin::round: OmegaX Jun 28, 2002, 09:56 PM Those ASPI drivers didn't work. I can burn everything fine but CDRWIN refuses to pick up my writer or DVD drive. I need to do this to extract an image from CD. but it shows nothing when i select cd reader within CDRWIN :( MrMP Jun 28, 2002, 09:58 PM www.adaptec.com ; aspi 4.71 Or there is an option in cdrwin preferences to use its own aspi OmegaX Jun 28, 2002, 10:44 PM I see that option but its greyed out making it unacessible. I can't highlight it. How do i enable it? dcm386 Jun 28, 2002, 10:54 PM Try re-installing, there is an option during installation to install CDWRin's ASPI layer. You most likely selected not to during the install, if it won't allow you to use that ASPI layer. MrMP Jun 28, 2002, 10:55 PM Maybe your writer is not supported in cdrwin, is it latest ver. (3.9a) dcm386 Jun 28, 2002, 11:49 PM Originally posted by MrMP Maybe your writer is not supported in cdrwin, is it latest ver. (3.9a) If the writer was unsupported, it would say "no supported writers found", not a "no aspi manager found" error Hoss Jun 29, 2002, 02:01 AM Ahhh this ones easy guys.... if you have Nero just copy the file wnaspi32.dll to the CDRWin folder If you need it, find it here http://www.geocities.com/liru67/ also moving this to CDRW OmegaX Jun 29, 2002, 05:56 PM What do you mean this ones easy? That didn't do anything at all. I moved the file there like you said and it's STILL greyed out. And no, I didn;t get an option whether i should install the CDRWIN ASPI on install. dcm386 Jun 29, 2002, 06:13 PM well then, what version of cdrwin are you using?? Get 3.9. It DEFINATELY gives you an option to install the aspi layer or not OmegaX Jun 29, 2002, 06:36 PM I'm using 3.9A and i just downloaded it from their site, it does not ask me anything on install, it just installs it. dcm386 Jun 29, 2002, 09:51 PM Well, that makes no sense at all!! I didn't want to get in anyone's face, but I guess I have no choice. I took screenshots of the installation process to prove to you that it asks if you want to install the aspi layer!! I just downloaded v3.9A from goldenhawks site and started up the installation. I double click the cdr39a-e.exe and this pops up: http://dcm386.homestead.com/files/001.jpg Then it prompts me to select my language: http://dcm386.homestead.com/files/002.jpg Then it tells me I'm going to install CDRWin: http://dcm386.homestead.com/files/003.jpg Then I pick where to install it: http://dcm386.homestead.com/files/004.jpg Then I click next to install: http://dcm386.homestead.com/files/005.jpg Then it installs the program: http://dcm386.homestead.com/files/006.jpg THEN it asks me if I want to install the ASPI layer: http://dcm386.homestead.com/files/007.jpg SELECT YES then click OK And there you go OmegaX! Problem solved. |
