Hey all...

I'm wondering if you can help me out. I have two CD roms (1 52x and a CD-RW) and I've only just noticed that somehow they have swapped drive letters 52x now = Drive E: and CD-RW = Drive D: .I would like to know, how I can swap them back over.

Thank you for any help.

What OS are you using?

For 9x go into Device manager and just change the drive letter in the properties for each CD-Roms.

For Windows 2000\XP you do it in Disk Management by right-clicking on each drive.

Do you see the Reserved Drive Letters section? Just select the same letter you want to assign to the drive for the 2 dropdown boxes labeled Start Drive Letter & End Drive Letter. Do the same for all the drives and remember not to select the same letter for more than 1 drive. Reboot and the new drive letters will appear according to your selection.
