Heard lots about the Fade protection codemasters is using. And I just bought the Mike Tyson Boxing on DVDR.Will the fade protection eventually make the dvdr useless?Or since it's on dvdr is it a 1:1 from the original?Just wondering because I am going to be pissed if I can only play this game a couple times before it craps out....thanks...

That's pretty crappy...I had no idea, what's the point of ripping it if you can only play it a couple times.Any idea as to how long you can play the game before it starts messing up?One time, 20 times??

Try this, once it stops working on your PS2, try it on another modded Ps2, the protection must save information in the PS2, cause the laser can't write back to the CD.

maybe check the memory card. The PS2 doesnt allow any info to be written anywhere does it? Or maybe the BIOS, but id bet sony wouldnt allow companies to do that, as it could possibly mess something up. Check the memory card, delete saves, and let us know. Like Jaice said and I said on ur other post, the ps2 isnt writing anything to the cd.

Dont worry some smart people will crack it just like they have been doing for the PSX for AGES.
And Fade for the PC was cracked (Operation Flashpoint) so i have no doubt it will be for the PS2 (i think it might already be)

Fade works by searching for '*******ised' secttors on the cd/DVDr, thus using software such as Clone CD, (basically duplication that also duplicates the '*******ised' sectors CDRWin does NOT do this) will and does render Fade useless, as when it checkls for the sectors, they are there.
