Is there a way to test an enigmah chip to see if it works. I've installed ( i know i've posted but this is a diff question) and i can't find a problem. Is there a way i can know if the chip is functional.

try playing one of your backups.

Your xbox is supposed to work fine once the chip is in.

I have tried it several times and i couldn't make it work. I couldn't even read a burned audio disk. So i'm at odds. The box works fine on all regular games but can't boot anything burned. All i get is an error message saying unrecognized disk. No xbox logo prior or anything. So I'm just stuck here.

are you using cdr? Sounds like cdr if you cant read a burned audio disc. Try Cdrw

Try buying a dvdr from someone that they know works & use that.

hey, i had the beta chip in mine, hooked up correctly, and it didnt boot all the games, just some of them. find a reputable dealer, buy wsb2k3 from him on dvdr. it should work no matter what chip u have, if its correct. if its a bad chip, your box shouldnt be working at all.
