wtf- no chance m8, it takes POWERFUL Fukin Lasers , to penetrate the skin, absoloute NO CHANCE
Think about, X-rays are fukin expensive and powerful, there basically the only things that can penetrate ure skin without causing Mutation, and even that depends on how strong the ray is !
It may blind u, if it hits ure eye, or cause bad eye-sight !

iono about it myself, but it can hurt your eyes. nothing as bad as cancer im sure. do a search on yahoo for "class 1 lasers", they should be other websites that give you information

The Radiation can cause cancer, but nowadays, everything gives off radiation.

unless you expose yourself to the radiation 24/7 365 days a year (366 in a leap year), you wont have a problem

there shouldn't be any electricity running though the laser or the system if you have it open...just unplug it and you won't have anything to worry about...that is if you are actually worried about the laser beam itself. But if you are worried about radiation...keep worring because a fully closed and seal ps2 case isn't made out of lead so...in my opinion you have just as much chance of getting cancer from a closed system as you do a open system

The laser beems in such items as cd players/ps2 ect, are very weak, they are designed to travel/penetrated very short distances, to get any sort of problems you would have to have the laser powered up with no cd in the machine, with your face right were the cd would sit. the stickers on these things are simply to 'cover ***' as the long term effects exposure to cd player lenses are not fully known (as it is impossible to get close enough.
