View Full Version : Reckon that 1 wire chip works this way?

I have just read on another site some technical specs on the inside of the Xbox and the Bios can be bypassed by altering the state of 1 of its pins!

So i reckon the new Xcuter chip is a clip to fit over the old bios ( No solder) and then 1 wire to bypass the old bios?

Im very stoned but this makes so much sense to me right now!

that would make sense. i guess we'll just have to wait and see when and if the modchip comes out.

Thats probably what it will do, use a Bios clip, like the Neo 4.5 and the Messiah for PS2. I don't think just 1 wire and nothing else can overcome M$ box.

Maybe its just me, but it doesn't make sense that this chip is for real. Don't you need AT LEAST 2 wires for ANY chip? (ie, 1 for ground, the other for voltage?). How can you make an electrical circuit with 1 wire?

both ends of the wire have to be soldered possibly, as in a link wire!

I think that what happens is one wire drags a pin low or high state, this causes the original bios to be ignored and then the 'new' bios image kicks in attached by a clip.

Fantasy or reality, i dont know im just me.

I am waiting for this chip, it's supposed to be cheap and easy to fit. Hope it's real.

No chip will ever help hardware sales significantly. That is a common misconception. The vast majority of people, especially here in the US, will never know. As for this chip, I hope it comes out soon but dont hold your breath...

"This project is for fun only."
