Hi

I have no idea how to compile mame x I need an idiots guide on what to do.Do I need anything else,I have:-

Mame 0.6 source code
mame-x_source_diffs-B4.rar
nasm098.zip
zlib113.zip
500+ roms

Please dont flame me if its obvious I just dont know Ive searched for a while with no luck

Its so easy to do get the emu beta 4.
put your roms in the roms folder.
use xiso to build the image and burn in nero. I used cdrw settings dao closed.
thats it.

It aint THAT easy. I have searched all ove rthe place for it. I only found mame beta2. and besides to burn it isnt the issue in this topic, compiling the source code is. :hdspin: :round:

Tuckerisgreat - Have you got it to work with Nero? cos i thought it can only be done with PrimoDVD.

i think i'm missing a step as well. i've burned mame 5 onto a memorex dvd-r and dvd-rw with a game (still zipped up) in the \roms folder and i keep getting a "disk not recognized" error. i burned with nero 5.5.8.2, should i be compiling prior to burning, and if so, with what?

nero doesn't burn in the correct UDF format so you have to burn with Prassi Primo which will burn it in the correct format.
