first of all sorry mods if this shouldnt be here

playing halo original - games runs fine, but when u get to an area where it has to load it stutters for a second then moves fine.

thought this was just the game.

now playing fifa, and just before the we break for half / full time, the game jerks, only once, but its noticable.

is this a problem wiff my machine, or just the way in which the games have been made?

Halo always freezes for a second when it loads the next part of the level. I'm not sure about FIFA though, but its probably still the game loading.

yep, my halo pauses for a split second when it loads and when i hit a new checkpoint.

ive also noticed that on Rallisport Challenge, when your selecting your car, theres a slight pause before the car slides out from the left onto the screen. is this normal ? same happens when selecting a new track. (the actual race itself is perfect and stutter free, so im guessing its supposed to be normal. well hopefully anyway)

anyone tried using an ata100 ide cable inside, instead of the the stock one?
might stop it stuttering ;)

Its is the games. A point to note, when using a CDRW games jerk and stutter a lot but on a DVD-R they dont, dunno what media you are using though?
Halo seems the worst but thinking about it, its very impressive as it dont cut off half way through a level with a loading screen. We are all still thinking the XBox is a PC but it aint, look at PS2 games, i would love to see how Halo was handled on that machine!!!!!
