i have a 10 gb hard drive about 6gb free could free up abit more will that
be enough for some dvds? is there a way to tell what i will need for each
dvd? thanks

I've read on here that 10 GB is advised to be on the safe side but ways around that are described in the posts above. The lists about the sizes of the individual film will give you a better indicator of what is needed. For ripping, in my limited experience, you need approx twice the size of the original dvd until you've checked the mpeg files are okay.
