I know they have advertise for a chip to put into the XBOX that disables the macrovision so you could run the output through a VCR and record. go to www.cdcovers.cc and read about it

It all depends what you have in your PC. Do you have a software player (Power DVD, Win DVD, ATI Theatre etc) or a real hardware decoder? If you have a Hollywood Realmagic MPEG decoder then you can download free software to turn the Macrovision protection off so you can record to a VHS video via the S-video Out on your card. If you have such a card go to:
http://www.remoteselector.com/ - it's cool! I think it might even work with software players too.

rip the DVD to ur hard drive using smartripper, this removes the region encoding & macrovision (copy protection) and play with powerDVD

or download DVD genie (free) to play DVDs with your normal DVD software and use genie to hack ur software so u can use multiple regions and remove macrovision
