DC4ever Jul 02, 2002, 01:01 AM Once Neo had trouble with M$ they closed up. Once Enigmah had trouble they closed up. Once one place shuts down another opens up.
Neo=Enigmah=X-ECUTER
And since x-ecuter gives extreme credit to enigmah this is obvious. And once neo had a chip that played backups they closed up and enigmah went up. All facts point to this conclusion. And xtender's site has closed so it seems raptor might've join the original xbox modchip crew. So I give a big thanx to Neo/Enigmah/X-ecuter for helping the xbox scene.

bearauto Jul 02, 2002, 01:52 AM I thought we were settled that the 1-wire mod thing was a myth.
thejikifreak Jul 02, 2002, 04:38 AM Yeah no kidding. It would be nice tho :-)
prospeCt Jul 02, 2002, 08:38 AM very nice, don't give up hope...
Hasardman Jul 02, 2002, 08:43 AM Where is the proof that this mod actually exists and even if it does exist in my opinion it is misleading, the only way that I see a 1 wire mod being possible is if it also plugs into some connector, much like the "no solder" mods for PS2.
Plasdaq Jul 02, 2002, 09:25 AM From Xbox Scene
"Last week we reported on Xbox mod-chip group Enigmah's decision to withdraw its product from the market, citing a consultation with lawyers as its reason for pulling back from the legally delicate area of console modification.
However, it transpires that Enigmah hasn't cancelled its mod-chip plans after all, and the team has merely renamed to "X-ecuter" in order to launch a new chip. This is significantly easier to fit than previous efforts – so easy, in fact, that anyone with a basic knowledge of soldering could do it (unlike previous Xbox chips or the PS2 Messiah chip, which required precision micro-soldering equipment to fit)."
You only have 1 wire (reportedly) to solder. There is 'clip' pre-wired to the card that you plug into your motherboard. There are pictures on the xbox scene.
Of course it is not confirmed yet, but neither were any of the other chips....but if its by enigma, that should be reassuring. I dare say they would not go to all this trouble just to put out a hoax....but stranger things have happened.

bearauto Jul 02, 2002, 04:41 PM Interesting...
ashVID Jul 02, 2002, 06:15 PM These have not come to life as of yet. There is also a messiah clip for the PS2. I have seen pictures of both, they look legit but who knows when they will actually come out. It may be months...or more...

A '1' wire modchip is definetly possible, it would be in the form of a clip which mounted onto the existing xbox bios chip. The clip will have the hacked bios incoporated into it. I suspect the wire will be to disable the exisiting bios. Simple as that really a 1 wire modchip. All this has already been mentioned I believe.
I do have some concerns as to how reliable such a 'clip' will be, bearing in mind that the NEO4 clip was/is inherently unreliable and in theory much simpler from a mechanical 'clip' point of view, ie the pitch on the PS2 bios was significantly greater than that on the Xbox bios, 0.85mm and 0.50 respectively ( I think).
I guess time will tell..............
