Hi, I'm pretty new to this and I've got a little problem. I ripped a DVD and it played just fine in Spruceup and everything. but after I burned it it played rather "jumpy" (not very smooth). The menu's was also pretty shitty. but the sound was great. I tested the dvd both on my standalone and on my two DVD-rom players.
What is the problem?
I have a pioneer DVR-A04 writer, and i use the method on dvd2dvdr.com
please help me, I live in Norway. the cheapest disks cost 8 $ here, i can't afford to wast very many.:D

But the media is the Pioneer dvdr that comes with the drive. shouldn't this be ok ? or is this a bad media for video?

Did you put a stick on label on the DVD after you made it? Stick on labels should not be used they can cause playback problems. ~ Bill

Ive got the same problem, and Ive just bought 50 unbranded (manufactured by princo) DVD-R's with DVD cases from SVP. The movie I ripped plays fine on the PC but when I play it on PS2 it wont play the last 2 chapters and its a little jumpy throughout. What media is recomended for both movies and backups of PS2 games? Thanks for any replies

First off Ps'2 have got a crap laser. Datasafe Gen 3 are meant to be the best (cheap) disks for console, standalone DVD players e.t.c, i have seen this confirmed by a good number of people who are very happy with them. They cost about £1.79 in a DVD case from SVP, i got 20 of them in yesterday, burned an XBox backup last night it it plays 100% perfect.
Hope this helps
