I was just thinking about playing vcds in the xbox, and the problems with the eject button resetting the console (there's a workaround for those without the enigmah chip, but since I've got the enigmah fitted I was wondering if this would work).

Maybe the next version of a vcdplayer would allow you to hook up a second dvd drive (like a cpu dvd drive the way many ppl in this forum have done), and that drive would hold the vcd/video files, while the first one would boot the xbox. I'm not sure how the dvd swap works, but I was under the impression that you have to leave both the xbox dvd drive and the new one connected.....maybe I'm wrong about that, in which case forget everything that you've read....this message will reboot your computer in 5 seconds.

IDE chains can only have 2 drive on them. The xbox hard drive and one dvd drive. HOWEVER if you have a different drive hooked up to your box ejecting it doesn't reset the box, I don't know if it is possible to get the xbox to reload the new media though, with out reseting.
