hi
i been going through many threads but i still are not able to find the right solution for me yet. so if anyone can help me out, i really appreciate that. i already have the newsgroup and i am able to go to the group w/ xbox image but i have trouble to download it. when i hightlight on the name of the message, i hit enter to save the file to the folder in the directory. a progress bar appears and seem like it actually save to my folder but i received a message say that encode message error. when i check that file again by going to that folder and i see that file's size is 0 byte.
thanks

Yeah it does sound like a reader problem...

I use Grabit, its free, fast, and If you get disconnected from the group, it has a resume feature. I have downloaded about 30+ Xbox games with it, with no problems.

Files in newsgroups are encoded to text you need a program that decodes them.

if i need a program to decode it,so what program i need?or where can i go and dl a free one? im using hte free agent as a reader. one more quick question is that if i burn the xbox image to a DVD+RW, will it be better than you put it on the CD-R?
thanks

What newsreader are you using? All of them have instructions on how to decode binary attachments., Agent is by far the easiest of all I think.
