A person recommended me to use EIDE cable for best result regarding speed when burning.

What is the difference as far as look between an EIDE and an IDE cable?

Thanks for the link,
however, the link talks about the IDE and EIDE controller on the motherboard and the difference in performance. That is not exactly what I'm looking for.

I want to go buy EIDE cables, but the guys at CompUSA, BestBuy, and FRY's does not know if a cable is IDE or EIDE.

Do any of you guys here know?

Look for an 80pin cable as aposed to a 40pin one, I guess. Doubt that it will make any difference for CDRW/CDRom/DVDRom drives, etc. only for HardDisks.
