I'm trying to move Microsoft Office 97 and Adobe Photoshop 6 from my C drive to my second hard drive. Is there anyway just to copy/paste the files across and update the registry or whatever needs doing.

I've tried uninstalling both and reinstalling them but both cause strange behaviour. Photoshop deltes loads of entries on my start meny, though the programs themselves remain on the disk.

I'm using WinXp and like the start menu with Internet Explorer and Outlook Express at the top. When removing Office 97 it seems to upset outlook express and creates two seperate shortcuts, one for outlook express, the other just say e-mail.

Clicking e-mail takes me to internet options, so I went to the programs tab and tried to change the program for e-mail but nothing is available for selection.
Sorry I've gone on for a bit but this is the only way I can explain it, any ideas? Checked for viruses but nothing, at least system restore gets me back to where I started.

Instead of trying to uninstall the programs, why don't you (for example) open both drives on your screen, right-click on Office 97, drag the folder from one drive to the other and release the button.

The menu that opens up will ask you if you want to move or copy the files. Click on move, and let Windows move the folder to the new drive, updating the registry.

Oh right I'll try that. Didn't know it would update the registry doing it that way.
