When trying to connect where they advertise the fserve there is a command trigger <whatever they call it>, just right click on what is in between the arrows and then paste it into the chat bar, then it should come up with a dialogue box where u have to accept the chat and u r into there fserve IE: paste this : whatever they call it

yea I think I understand what you are saying, I know how to use triggers its just I can't type anything into the channel. How do you use the triggers when you can't send anything?

thanks

Sometimes, the channel is set to moderated (+m). You can check by looking at the title bar of the channel window and see if there's an "m" there. It means that only voiced users can type in the channel. It's to prevent flooding I guess.

Usually when you cannot send to the channel, it is an xdcc channel, or you have to use the /ctcp command. This is because an xdcc trigger or a ctcp trigger goes directly to the fserve and not through the channel. To use the /ctcp command, type /ctcp [nick of fserv] [trigger]. It may or may not work, but if the channel mode is +m (moderated) this is the only way an fserve could work
