Hi, I just ordered an SBOX chip for my V1 ps2(US) and just wondering if it will boot tekken 4 cdr correctly. Ive been reading that this game requires a patch or something in order to boot up. Is this correct or will it boot up w/ no probs?

i dont think there is any probs, i was playing it fine when i was doing the knife trick.

I thought tekken was over 650mb, if so then u wont be able to play it, not really sure though, it could be under 650

u probably need to patch the disc as well

the one i got is 623mb so its under the limit

I haven't been able to boot (jap) Tekken4 at all with my Sbox neokey. I've even tried both versions. One was the original version (i'm sure it had no patch) and the other was the version with the patch and the trainer. The original backup wouldn't load at all, but the one that was patched w/trainer wouldn't load a match at all. If anyone else has had this problem and can verify that it is a common problem with the same setup, then let us know too. Thanks. Hope this helps.

i would suggest you buying a new copy from another seller, its proly a bad burn. id suggest tekerd, just put his name in the search and youll find him.

I thought sbox was able to read 80min cdrs so i thought up to 700mb was ok, no?

Yeah, i have no problem reading 700MB burnt games with my Sbox. I just don't know why Tekken 4 won't work... hmmm

i have had two takken 4 the first failed to work the second did the guy i got it off said something about it needed a differant patch in order to run on the s box. The version i have is 623mb
