I installed a neo4.5 on a v4 w/ gap. I checked all the points w/ the tool that game w/ it and they all work. When i boot up, the little red light on the neo4 blinks, i assume that is good. My problem comes when booting ps2 cdr backups. I can boot original ps2 games, and also psx backups, but it wont play ps2 backups. It goes to the screen that says playstation & SCEA, but just stops there? anyone else have this problem??

EDIT: figured it out

Hmmm, your chip could be bad, or one of your points messed up (check again).

when i get to the normal booting screen w/ ps2 cdr backups, it says only "playstation" and "SCEA" So the scea code is being sent through, but then it freezes there. Any help

I bought two neo 4.5 for 2 ps2 i own. I too had the problems that u are talking about. I checked and rechecked the wiring and connections. The culprit lay on the bios clip. It looked well seated just like the pictures but in actuality it was not. try taking it off and seating it a couple of times like I did and maybe u will be as lucky as I was. Like I said, I did this for two PS2's that I own and now it is working fine. No more **scea** messages when booting up.
