im thinking of chipping my ps2 with a neo 2.2 chip

my ps2 is a v4

well how many wires is there to solder as ive been on some sites and some with 5 and some with 8 wires soldered??

For version 4, 5 wires without EA boot. 8 wires with EA boot which is essential for playing Dvdr. The 3, 5 and 6 points are omitted in 5 wire method. Point 5 and 6 are very close and solder onto tiny legs of a chip. A lot of people end up linking the two points together.
