do all of these need to be reset to load a game?

can i use an unofficail memory card then.....that requires me to boot the memory manager first?????

need to know as ps2 arrives monday........ should i rush to buy official mem card or chill as ive bought the unofficial one>?

Trying to help you here dude!

The method I use for booting is this:

- Ensure the PS2 is in standby mode. Press the EJECT button to power on.
- Insert the CDR or DVDR in tray.
- Press the EJECT button to close. If the game is a dvdr based one then you will have to press the EJECT button twice before the tray closes.
- Game loads

1)playstation 2 cdr, imports & silvers, power on the console, then press the reset button

2)To play Playstation CDR, imports & silvers, power on the console, then press the reset button twice quickly (double press).

3) If your DVD driver version is 2.10 or higher
(this can be checked by viewing the version information at the browser screen),
press the reset button twice (double press) after power-on.
