Try using Sisoft sandra to identify the components:

You might have more luck if you posted in the 'Device Driver Questions' forum.....

If you look at the graphics card it should be evident from the chip which card it is SIS, TNT, S3 etc

for the modem, equally you can look at the chipset (connexant, rockwell etc etc) and on the back of the card is typically a lable with a serial number.

Do a search on google for the serial and the chipset along with the keywords 'windows' & 'driver' and you'll get what you want.

I'm going to move this to the Device Drivers forum. Once you figure out the components, you can post them there.

You can go to my computer, and device manager, look at the hardware profiles, it should tell you the hardware name, then just search for the drivers on google....

Wrong.

The device manager can only tell you what the cards are once the drivers are installed. This is useful for upgrading drivers but installing the first ones.

If no (or basic) drivers are installed device manager will just say

"Standard Display Adaptor"

and

"PCI communication device"

which is not particularly helpful.
