Hi, I have a goodmans karaoke machine and would like help in converting mp3/cdgs to play.
I have created the bin files and burnt them, but alas no joy.
help me obi one kenobe your my only hope.
sorry but its sending me bonkers, i've been on this for weeks.

It may be that you are just having problems with the type of Burner that you are using, there are only a few that actually burn CD+G with success.
Another problem is making sure that your unit will play CDR disc's - many of the cheaper units will not play / struggle with CDR discs:(
What exactly is happening when you play the disc on the CDG Player??

I was thinking that too, i've just ordered a plextor burner.
it just screams like a spectrum games loading.( puts me off me singing )
I can play burnt albums on the player so I dont think it has a problem with the cdr's.

That's what I get 40mb bin files, do you know if this is down to the burner or software, I currently have a memorex 16 maxx 1040.

Your Memorex burner will not burn CD+G from bin files in this fashion (there will not be any graphics). Your new Plextor should not have any problems at all.
If your Memorex burner will backup whole disks, you may want to try the 'non compatible burner' help file at www.karaokeplayground.co.uk
It uses Daemon Toolz, and Clone CD.
Works a treat for LiteOn, LG, Creative ect., and most burners that support RAW DAO.

Hi m8,
I had the exact same problem as you when i started, It'll be your writer mate...They recommend Plextor or Yamaha..This is the first Hurdle.
You then need the correct version of CDRWIN, i use 3.8D..Have tried newer versions but some didn't work so i stick to what i know works..
So, I would recommend : Fit and install your plextor writer when you get it, Install and CDRWIN 3.8D, Dont record any faster than 4 X Speed as this can cause probs with the graphics And this should sort out all your problems mate.
