Anyone know where I can buy cheap AA batteries..... good make ones like Duracell but not at the silly £4 a pack shop price. Markets sell these for £1-2 max so where do the sellers get them?

Try 24hourshop or if you can get into costco they sell batteries at good prices.

Costco is the place to buy batteries by package. Be careful with the plenticell brands, these brands look just like duracell. plenticell are bootleg
and last only 1 hour on your cd player. I bought 8 AA batteries for $1 and didnt last me 2 days....yes Amazing.... I got ripped off

Ur local Argos is doin a deal at the moment - something like 30 or 40 for 4.99! They arent duracell though.

If you use them a lot, you might want to consider purchasing recharagables and a battery charger. Sure it costs more initially, however it turns out to be much cheaper in the long run.

yes rechargeable are the best way to go , I use them for my cd player , it tool me about 6 months to actually realise that my cd player could recharge batteries and I must have spent about £50-70 during that time. OPPS :(

anyway rechargeable ones are best in the long run

I think the markets get them "off the back of a lorry", or quite often they are covered in European language but no English, maybe slightly out of date, but still possess plenty of charge. Those duracell 10 packs are really good.
I have some rechargables too, Nickel Hydrides, much better than old Nickel Cadmiums. Only problem is, I find that unlike expensive alkalines e.g. duracell and energizer, rechargables drain much faster, although their initial power is much higher e.g. fast motor speed or high torch brightness initially. Unfortunately, you don't get too much warning when the voltage starts to drop....

24hourshop.com have got a good deal on right now for a recharger and 8 batteries, can't remember how much but dead cheap.
