This is for those of us who have an xbox VGA adapter. Considering that the dashboard does not display in VGA mode, is it better playing games off of DVDs and CDRs instead of the Hard Drive (i.e., via the evolutionX software)?
I mean, even if you get the games on the Hard Drive, how will you be able to see which game to select, because the evolution dashboard is not VGA compatible?

Are xbox games written for VGA?

On second thought, they are not, here is someone who got that adapter, your miles may vary:
"Let me just say that the color and resolution were awful. The words were blurry, the colors were drab... it looks better on a decent TV through the standard RCA hookups. I've been running it through S-Video on a sony wega and it was a HUGE step down. I cannot begin to relate my distain for this product. It was a great idea that went horribly wrong. Note to any other companies: I will be the first in line to get one of these if it is done correctly. I doubt I am alone. Until then, there is only hope. Handyguy, are you talking about the cheap redant vga adapter? I have the one made by Kgasper from xboxhacker.net. Basically it converts the High Definition into a true VGA signal. Colors are brilliant and the detail is superb. Basically a high definition picture, not just a line-doubled picture.
And yes, all xbox games are made for High Definition.

Great. You can also get a HDTV card for your PC, believe it or not. Costs a lot though, a
few hundred dollars.
