I've loaded burnout onto my xbox HD using evo-x. After I run the command to start burnout from FlashFXP, burnout loads but it gives me the error message "there's a problem with the disc you're using it may be dirty or damaged". Is this part of the cd protection? How do I fix this?

You need to hex edit somthing in the xbe. Do a search to find exactly what, it was posted here just recently.

would it be a standard hex edit, or is it game specific?

Hex edit default.xbe

Find offset 0X00000214

Change 0020 0000 to FFFF FF00

I got those instructions from xbox-scene forums. I opened up hex workshop and searched for the offset, but I couldn't find it in the default.xbe file. Is there another offset I should search for?
