I'm having trouble connecting to my XBox from my networked computers. I have 2 computers connected to a Linksys DSL/Cable Router with Built in Switch. My problem is that the other computers can't connect to it with the FTP programs I've been using (I've tried CuteFTP and FlashFXP already). I am almost certain that this has something to do with the Firewall settings built into the Router. I've tried setting the Xbox's IP as a Demilitarized Zone Host, but I still can't connect. If anyone knows how to get around this, let me know. Thanks in advance.

I dont think there is a way around it... I do too have the Linksys DSL/Cable router....

I know you can turn off the firewall to one IP, but I'm not sure you can do it to all the IPs.

Its just that thing you have to deal with.............

I have the same router and it works fine. Firewalling only happens between the LAN and WAN not within the lan. Somthing else is wrong. Have you ever played halo or anything online, that should guarentee a correct network connection.

I am able to make contact with the Xbox, but I get the following error on my FTP Client which prevents me from seeing the files on the xbox.

COMMAND:> PASV
502 pasv is not implemented.
STATUS:> Error opening data socket

I got it working after all. It had something to do with CuteFTP. In any case, I'm not using CuteFTP anymore. Anybody trying to connect via CuteFTP and having problems, well now you know what the problem is.
