funnyfarm Jul 11, 2002, 08:48 AM I already have 2 liteons updated firmware they'll write a disc fine but come to playing it in a cd player takes ages to find the track and play it,both writers write like this, tried in another cd player don't even read the disc tried all media i can think of.
everyone swears by plex's whats the best for audio only?
clickart Jul 12, 2002, 12:09 AM First try to use high quality media. It just might be the media problem. Get a Plextor or Ricoh burner.
Lazza Jul 12, 2002, 03:23 AM The best by far for Audio only is the new Yamaha range.
They are out either this/next week. Every conceivable audio feature you need are on these drives.
w3dal Jul 12, 2002, 05:42 AM Hi,
What media are you using???
And also have you tried your CDR's in other CD Players???

microsuperstore Jul 12, 2002, 06:45 AM I would also recommend better media. Silvers, unbranded and some of cheaper stuff is not good especially for audio
funnyfarm Jul 12, 2002, 07:03 AM TDK discs seem to be ok
tried.
precision
ritek, bad when writing 8x fine when writing at max speed
datasafe
whitelabel/datasafe
bulkpaque
Aren't the majority of the discs out of the same factory anyway?
I thought the discs with the really dark surface ie: TDK were the ones to avoid cause the player would have a hard time reading it.
cheers
Lazza Jul 12, 2002, 07:19 AM To find out who the discs are REALLY made by download "CDR Identifier" from the link on my homepage. There are only 16 manu's of CDR's in the world and most are just branded, like TDK.
I use Ritek discs all the time with my LiteOn and they seem to be fine at any speed.
w3dal Jul 12, 2002, 07:29 AM Hi,
Verbatim datalife plus are the best media so far, used thousands and never had a problem. music or data.
