Im on 1mbit connection and ricently something went wrong to the download speed on mIRC i donwload at 15/20kbs from any, when i use IE i dl at full speed. This is very strange, could any 1 help me out with this i got all the options on mirc right. But the speed is still slow..

ur speed doesnt matter when your having people send you stuff... its their line thats the determining factor... if you have a significantly higher speed than them... it wont matter because the person you are being DCC'ed from probably doesnt have a 1 mbit line up and down...

Exactly. I have a 1.5 Mbit down and I can get stuff on IRC @ 180 KB/s or 0.18 KB/s. It depends on the other guy's speed

it is the other guy's U/L speed as stated earlier, so stay away from P2P apps and use newsgropus if possible.
