How do I go about linking up my xbox to my pc?

What sort of cable and plugs do I need? Does anyone know a good cheap website where I can buy a cable from?

u need a ethernet card any cheap ones will do, needs a rj45 socket... for a cable you need a crossover cable not a straight thru with rj45 connectors.. :)

Do you know anywhere I can buy a cheap one ready made? Can't be ar*ed to mess about with wires

so is this correct?
xbox to xbox = crossover cable
xbox to pc = crossover cable
xbox to hub = straight through cable

Yes, if you are connecting through a hub, use a standard cat5 patch cable (not crossover), else use crossover...
