I need to disable auto insert notification on my cdrom drive.
In win 98 it was in properties, but in win xp it's not.
Where do I need to look.

- Click on Start/Run then type "regedit" without the quotes in the Run box. Click OK.

- Go to the registry item "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\
Services\Cdrom\"

- On the right side of the registry screen, look for AutoRun or AutoPlay. Doubleclick on this text then enter 0 in the "value data" to disable AIN.

and if your not comfortable editing registry settings in that manner you can download one of the numerous tweak xp programs, most of the tweak progs will control that as well as many other settings....
