Finally did it install some flying leads from the pads on the mainboard, to allow flashing of the on board bios and then formatted a new drive ( 80gb ) and fitted it in there.

Now have no modchip and 75gb of games ONBOARD.

I recommend this to anyone, no dvd writer needed now, i can wait for the prices to come down.

Hey right us a tutorial on what you did exactlyand hook us up.

i was just wondering one thing. about how long does it take to copy an original xbox game to the pc?

Im in the process of writing a quick tutorial on doing this, it is fairly easy but the info is skattered about a bit.

I am collating all the info and then will post it, i have flashed the internal bios and REMOVED the Enigmah i had, also the 80gb drive means i have ALL my games on board.

+++ No dvd writer required for the full games.

Im thinking of that myself. cuz Enigmah cant do the eject/reset trick. I've never flashed a bios before so make your toturial Dummy proof! Step by step, things we need. where to get them, etc. :) Thanks

Like you say info is scattered and a lot of tutorials take it for granted you understand a lot of the process. Now I can follow instructions well as long as they are clear. What baffles me about some of the tutorials is when you get one line of text to explain what is a very dangerous opperation in the hands of a moron (me).
The sooner i get this lame enigma beta out of my box the better.

Oh also ... have a tutorial on how to remove an already installed enigmah chip :) for any other chip for those people who wanna get rid of their modchip & flash the xbox bios.

I agree about the 'one line for something dangerous' i thought that 2 or 3 of the stages were just a bit to breif at certain points.
